| Welcome to our corner of the world wide web. iwear
baby is
an independently owned and operated family run business (aka mom's in charge and the kiddos "assist"). I do not
work for any baby carrier or product manufacturer.I just share my passion for babywearing and attachment parenting
and have put it all in one place.
I homeschool three beautiful bouncing boys (2002, 2005, 2007) and my wonderful husband among his other roles is our principal, in-house IT department,
midnight stocking shift and dad babywearing consultant. We live in the suburbs of Northern Virginia but love to travel and vist
our family around the U.S. and the world. Our baby carriers have been thoroughly "tested" on our overseas travels, field trips around the Nation's Capital
and daily in our home with all three kids.
I started out sharing my excitement for babywearing with anyone who asked and found that the stumbling block
that most people came across was the difficulty of finding out what carriers
worked for them on-line all the different products out there. I started stocking the few carriers I loved but soon
expanded to carry
as many as we could from across the globe so that thorough comparisons could be made.
After 6 years of lugging suitcases of carriers to meetings, participating in state wide fairs and
having weekly workshops it became evident here were really just a few that worked well for most families.
We decided to stick with the best and help others experience the same benefits that babywearing provided for us. We are also
happy to bring you other great family products that we've come across on our journey in parenting.
We've found
out the hard way that this line of business (with all of the time, shipping and driving that we do) is certainly
not financially rewarding but the joy of seeing a content serene baby held close is priceless.
